Poo in the Pool
So....Tripp went poo in the pool during swim lessons Saturday...luckily it was at the very end of class but still, not fun times. I feel bad for the little guy because he obviously had no idea but I was still pretty embarrassed. We all had to get out of the pool quickly and rinse off in the shower, this was also of course the one day Kent and I forgot Tripp's second permanent mandatory diaper so poo doesn't get in the pool, oops.

I won Astros tickets at work this week so Tripp got to enjoy his second ever Astros game (first game shouldn't really count though, he was only 6 weeks old and sleep most the time). Bruce and Stephanie came along for the fun too! We got to sit front row, needless to say we have never had such great seats! Tripp had a blast and easily lasted the whole game!
Sorry for the picture overload, I love them all so I couldn't decide which ones to post :)

Who Knew Pain Good Be So Yummy
Our poor baby boy is cutting lots of new teeth right now, two have actually broken through and at least two more are right there ready to break through. Tripp's gums are so swollen and he will just randomly cry while he is sleeping at night, it breaks my heart! He now has an official total of 6 teeth, but I am pretty sure by next week that count will be 8. On a positive note though, he is really enjoying all the new foods we are letting him eat now that he has lots of teeth to chew with!! He got steak twice last week :)

Allee Family Reunion
This past Saturday was the Allee family reunion. I can't believe that this is Tripp's second reunion to attend, it is such a weird feeling not having firsts with Tripp anymore. He celebrated his second 4th of July this year as well, he is growing up way too fast.
The reunion was great, I think next year I will have a heart attack with Tripp running around by the lake and going up and down the deadly stairs, but I have a whole year before I have to worry about that. Tripp did really well walking around at the lake, he showed his new walking skills to the family, he is still a little shaky but definitely getting more confident.
Deadly stairs mentioned above. This picture was take seconds before Violet fell down them. Yeah, I was too busy taking a picture to realize she probably needed help! She just looked so cute!

Tripp's New Word and New Tooth
Yesterday Tripp didn't seem to be feeling too well. Dada noticed that a new tooth had cut through on the bottom and I am pretty sure that it was still hurting him. He is also about to cut three more, two on the top and one more on the bottom, poor baby! When dada left for work Tripp and I were playing on the floor, it was around 12:30pm. It started raining outside so I opened the blinds so we could look out at the rain. About ten minutes later Tripp crawled over to my lap and laid his head down. He never does this and I am not going to lie, I loved it!!! He was being so sweet!!! I scratched his back as he laid there looking out the window for nearly 3o minutes. Then I decided that even though it was early for a nap he was ready, so I picked it up and he was out! I laid him in our bed and napped with him, well for the first part, he sleep for well over 2 hrs. He was sleeping so long I started making noise to wake him up. Since he hadn't eaten in over 4 hours I knew he would be hungry when he woke up so right when he woke up I took him to the kitchen for a snack. When I turned on the kitchen light he said, "milk" I couldn't believe it!!!!! I said, "you want milk?" and he said, "milk." It was awesome, he said it several more times.

Tripp's Girlfriend
I had to steal these pictures from Kinley's blog. This is Tripp's girlfriend, he is in LOVE with her!!! This is 4th of July weekend, but they first met the night before Tripp's first birthday party. Kinley would give Tripp kisses and he would just laugh and put his forehead forward for more. Then over 4th of July he wouldn't stop staring at her at lunch at the Olive Garden. I had to bring her over to him so they could play. I told him that staring was no way to get a lady, but she is absolutely adorable so I understand!

National Cow Appreciation Day
Kent received a flyer last week from Chick-fil-a announcing "National Cow Appreciation Day." The flyer said, "Dress like a cow on Friday July 9th and receive a free chicken sandwich." Since Kent is off on Fridays, and Tripp happened to be given a cow costume a few months ago, Kent could not wait to dress Tripp up and take him! I must admit, Tripp looks adorable as a little cow! We were sure Tripp would be the only one dressed up but this was NOT the case! Kent said there were cows out front, all the employees were dressed like cows and there were even a bunch of adults dressed up, whaaatttt???????
Moooo
Kent e-mailed me these photos after their outing, he titled this one, "Mad Cow Disease." :)

Guess Who is Walking?!?!?!
Woohoo!!!! Tripp figured out how to move his 32 inch 25 pound body! Friday, July 2nd, Tripp decided to take his first steps in front of his family, I am super excited that we all got to witness his first steps. We were hanging out in Aunt MaryLynn and Uncle Dan's dining room after dinner and Tripp decided to take 4 steps from me to his Aunt Lindsay. He then did it again! He was also standing for long periods of time, which was a first as well. Now I guess it's time to buy him shoes that actually fit. Should probably start making him wear shoes too, he seems to have a much easier time walking and standing with shoes on.
