Tripp and Noah

I take a million pictures of these two together, they are just so cute when they play together. Last night the weather was perfect so they played outside all night.

This one cracks me up, Tripp looks a little nervous with Noah driving!

Austin

Sorry for the picture overload, I couldn't decided which ones I liked best, so I picked about 10 of them :). We went to Austin this weekend, with Ma, PawPaw, ML, Dan, Jack, Cole, Austin, John, Stacey and Emmy to watch the UT vs UCLA game. We had so much fun, even though UCLA won. Looking forward to going to Cali next year for the game! Tripp had a lot of fun playing with Emmy, she was so sweet to him.

Family photos before the game

Front row!! We moved down there after the game. Our seats were great but they got better as the game went on and UT fans were leaving. We were on the jumbo tron, first time ever, it was awesome :)!

Mi familia at the restaurant after the game. It was the perfect place to eat with a party of 15. We had a large table outside, the weather was perfect and it wasn't too loud so we could all actually talk and hear each other.

Tripp and Noah

Last night while we were eating dinner we heard a knock on the door, turns out it was our little neighbor asking in the most adorable way if Tripp could come out and play. I told him yes but Tripp had to finish dinner first so it would be a few minutes before he would be able to play. Noah's mom later told me Noah waited outside the door until she finally went over and explained that it would be a while...haha...so cute. They had a great time playing last night, they love to play together. When we get home from school Tripp will point at Noah's house and want to go over there. And if we let him play outside the first thing he does is walk over there. I love how well they play together, they see each other almost everyday now.

Tripp is filthy in this picture, I know, he had been playing outside for about an hour at this point.

On another note Tripp was bit again yesterday at daycare, on the face!!! The teacher seemed nervous to tell me about it but I think she was surprised by my reaction. Now that my child has bitten another kid I know how helpless the mom feels. I kind of laughed and said, "was it the kid Tripp bit?" Her was response, "well actually, yeah..." I really wish Tripp hadn't been bitten but I really really wish he hadn't been bitten on the face! Poor little monkey. They sent the kid home that bit Tripp because he was older, he had done it before to another kid and it was completely unprovoked by Tripp.

Dr. Pepper

Tripp has a horrible ear infection, which means Kent and I have slept a total of 8 hours (maybe) in the last 4 days. Poor little man is in a lot of pain. He is on meds now so hopefully it will get better quickly!! On a funny note though Tripp had his first taste of Dr. Pepper yesterday. He stayed home with me in the morning and Kent in the afternoon. Kent gave Tripp some juice while he was drinking a Dr Pepper. Kent left the room and when he came back Tripp had put his juice cup down on the table and was drinking Kent's Dr Pepper...such a goofy little child. He is into everything now. Apparently he really liked it, not surprisingly. Unfortunately for him he won't get that again until he is older.

Update

Just Googled it:

First set of molars – Next to come in are the first molars. You might expect that the canines would come in next since they are located directly next to the incisors, but that is not usually the case. Babies normally get their molars in first, leaving a gap where the canines will eventually come in. The first molars erupt around 13 months.

Should have known Tripp was perfect, haha :)

New Tooth

Our poor little man is getting a new tooth, it is in the back of his mouth. I think it is the tooth right in front of his molars but I am not positive. I didn't think they were supposed to get back teeth this soon, I thought it happened at two, maybe that is just molars. I guess I should Google it, that is where I get all my medical advice :). Anyways, this tooth is really hurting Tripp. He is barely eating and has been really sleepy...probably b/c when he does sleep it isn't soundly. He also had a 101 fever yesterday. I hope it cut all the way through soon!

Jeans

Tripp got his first pair of jeans this weekend, I think they are so cute, makes him look like such a big boy.

The Bitee Becomes the Biter

I got a call last week from daycare letting me know Tripp had been biting, 4 times to be exact! I tend to think he is doing it because he is now the youngest in the class. At Kids R Kids Tripp was the biggest kid in the class, he had no problem getting toys when he wanted them. Now that he is at a new school and doesn't know anyone yet I think he was feeling overwhelmed and really wanted to mark his ground. Either way, I hope it stops ASAP! I love his new daycare and I really don't want him to get kicked out! Good news is he feels totally comfortable at his new school now :). When I dropped him off this morning he wouldn't hold my hand! He just carried his lunch box in the room and sat down at the table next to this other little boy and started trying to open his lunch box. It was so cute.

On another note we had two playdates this weekend, one Friday night with Jace, Tripp LOVED playing with Jace!!! They played so well together, they were laughing all night.

Saturday night we had three little ones over to play while we watched football. One was a little girl names Audrey who is 2 weeks younger than Tripp, Tripp was flirting with her, haha. It was really funny, he would walk over to her and lay his head down and smile at her. Then we brought out the tunnel and Tripp kissed her in the tunnel!!!!

Tripp's New Stats

At 14 months:
your child is 25.2 pounds, and that is at the 65th percentile for weight.
your child is 33 inches, and that is at the 95th percentile for height.

Our chunky monkey isn't so chunky anymore...which would be a direct result of the fact that he also no longer sits still for longer than 3.2 seconds. This is the first time since he was under a month old that his weight is under the 80th percentile.

Daycare Drop Off

Daycare drop off did not go smoothly this morning. I am not too surprised as he has only been there twice and then had a 4 day weekend. When we got there I was walking him in holding his hand and he was doing fine, until he saw the classroom, then I think he remembered that he was at school. He took off running down the hall! I picked him up and carried him in the room and he saw Ms. Amy and she sat by him to eat breakfast. He was then doing fine. I walked out of the room to put his bags up and sign him in then when I walked back in to kiss him and said bye. He bolted from his chair and grabbed me!!! Holy crap I have never seen him move so fast. Ms. Amy picked him up and he started crying...poor baby...it made me so so sad to see him crying when I left. I haven't really had to deal with that as he was used to his old daycare by the time he was old enough to know I was leaving. I called up there when I got to work and they said he had quickly calmed down and was doing fine. I guess he just need to get used to his new school, but that doesn't make me feel any better about walking away as he was crying.

Bounce House

For Labor Day we took Tripp to the bounce house with our neighbors. It is called Bouncing Bears and is brand new...best part about it though is that we found out Tripp is free until he is 18 months! I think we will be visiting much more often. Tripp was very nervous at first, which he has been with most things lately, but by the end he was having a blast. He was running from bounce house to bounce house and crawling in to jump.

Here he is chasing Hayden to the next house, most the pictures I have from yesterday are of his back as he was running!
Sliding down the big pillow
I love this picture, big kids were jumping next to us and Tripp was loving it. He kept going, "woah...woah..oooo...woah..." as he laughed.

First UT Football Game!

Thanks to Stephanie and Bruce Tripp got to attend his first football game! Thanks to Bruce for having a birthday and to Stephanie for inviting us to be their guest for Bruce's birthday :)! We had a blast! As we were driving down to the game Kent and I were getting a little nervous about how Tripp would do being forced to sit still for so long...turns out there was no need to worry. Stephanie bought awesome tickets on the 50 yard line for the game but when we checked into the gate the lady said, "sorry these tickets have been used." Long story short, Stephanie was a victim of fraud and the person her sold her the tickets online double sold them. So in exchange Reliant gave us tickets to a suit, it was soooo awesome! Tripp got to run around like a crazy person while Kent and I enjoyed the game. And Stephanie will get her money back for the tickets as they are insured through the place online she bought them. Tripp had so much fun he fell asleep before we left the parking lot!

New Life Community Christian School

Tripp started his new big boy school yesterday. I was nervous b/c he loved his old daycare and was very used to it. Turns out there was nothing to worry about, Tripp adjusted to his new school in about 2 seconds. When we got there he was nervous and started crying when I handed him over to his teacher but I gave him breakfast and the tears stopped immediately...mama stopped existing immediately too! I waved bye-bye and gave him a kiss and he just kept on eating. His teacher called me at lunch time and said he was doing wonderful and having a great time. He got upset once more when they went to the gym to play but got used to that after a few minutes as well. I am sure that will soon be his favorite thing to do. He also did well with the nap mat instead of being in a crib. Ms. Amy, his new teacher, said that he got up a few times but then she laid with him and he was out within minutes, and sleep through all of nap time. Today at drop off there was no tears, he went right over and sat by Ms Amy and waited for breakfast, I would say he is adjusted!

I of Tripp's favorite teachers from Kids R Kids
Who are these people?!
Oh you get to eat here, I like it already!

Tripp and Ms. Amy

This is when Ms Amy asked me how old Tripp was, I told her 14 months (which makes him the youngest in the class). She said, "oh he is my young one, but most certainly not my smallest one." haha :)
