Dinner with BVD2

We went downtown last night to have dinner with the Davids, Bethany and Violet. It was so good to see them since we hadn't gotten a chance to since the hospital 2 weeks ago! Here is David sleeping in my arms before dinner, I forgot how small they are - and it was only 9 months ago for me!!!Kent read to Tripp and Violet before dinner while Bethany and Dave were getting ready...don't let this picture fool you...Here is the real scene...Tripp sat still to listen to the book for exactly .5 seconds...Violet loves being read to and every time Tripp crawled away it distracted Kent from reading the book...so...Violet found a way to pull Tripp back over to the reading area...it was HILARIOUS! first picture of all the cousins, it is amazing that this picture really wasn't difficult to take, everyone was a willing participant!! - minus the minor mishap of Violet falling off a highchair and bumping her head on a table on the way to the floor about 2 minutes before this photo..

Random Cuteness...

A lady at Kent's work gave us a ton of toys for Tripp, one of which was a tunnel, that until now he hasn't been old enough to play with. Dada got the tunnel out the morning and from the look on Tripp's face I would say he loves it! We also went to The Little Gym this morning for Tripp's class and he loves it more and more every time we go...this morning he crawl around the whole gym without a care in the world as to where I was...he was just playing with the bouncy balls with all the older kids...he is getting so big so fast! I love this picture, Kent let Tripp sit by him in the booth before the high chair arrived and Tripp thought it was so cool, it's the little things at this age :)

He likes to play with books, works out great when I am trying to make dinner, except for the fact that I find it so cute I can't stop taking pictures and almost burn dinner :)

1.5 Words

Tripp now says two words, "hi" and "dada" - yes I am jealous! Although Tripp says dada very clearly and often we only 1/2 count it because he doesn't associate it with Kent yet, he just says it. It is really cute none the less...he said it last nighta few times in his sleep.

Poor Sick Baby...

...Tripp was sick these last few days, yesterday we took him to the doctor, he was 23.5 pounds
(between the 90 and 95th percentile) and 30 inched long (above the 95th percentile) and had 102.5 fever. Poor little guy was feeling really bad, but after some medicine and a ton of sleep he seems to be feeling much better this afternoon...and the fever is now gone. Thankfully it was just a virus and not the flu or strep.

Bye Bye Hawaii, Hello Monkey

While Kent and I were in Hawaii this week Ma and Aunt Lindsay (and Ty and Drew) watched Tripp. He had a blast, they went to the museum and zoo...both first for Tripp.
Ma and Aunt Lindsay were really good about sending photos of our little guy while we were gone, we missed him like crazy...we decided that next time Tripp while be coming with it. Thanks again for watching him!!!!

It's a Trend...

...Tripp slept through the night again!!! Woohoo!!!

Holy Moly...Tripp FINALLY Slept Through the Night!!

So he has done this once or twice before but last night was the best he has ever done, he slept from 8pm to 6am!!!! It was so awesome!!! I woke up a few times during the night and he was sounds asleep - I kept putting my hand on his back to make sure he was breathing... Kent and I got the best night sleep we have had in 8 months! Here's to hoping it continue for Ma this next week :).

Our Newest Nephew!!!

David LoPan Gould was born yesterday afternoon and is 8lbs 10ozs of adorableness!!! He looks like Daivd and Violet and has tons of hair, Tripp can't wait to play with his new cousin. Here he is excitedly waiting to meet him...Uncle KL

A Full Day

After Monkey's class at the Little Gym we came home and played outside while dada mowed the grass, pretty much a perfect morning for Tripp...he even forgot about lunch time...mama had to make him eat...pretty sure that has never happened before. After playing outside it was bath time, another one of Tripp's favorite things. Lately when we take Tripp's diaper off to change him, or give him a bath he feels the need to roll over and crawl around naked. It is super frustrating but the cutest thing I have ever seen! I know one Monkey that hates bananas, hilarious, this marks a first...we have found a food Tripp doesn't like. Although he didn't refuse it, he just barely opened his mouth and made this face while chewing, it was so funny. Night night!

First Word!!

Tripp said his first word last night, no it wasn't mama or dada, it was hi. When I picked him up from daycare I was holding him while grabbing all his stuff and his favorite teacher said, "Hi my little triple Tripp" as she always does and he said, "hi!" It was so cute and very clear. I looked at his teacher and she said, "oh yeah, he said hi, I will verify it." Cause you never know if it is just the mom in you thinking he said something. So when we got home I told Kent and we tried to get him to say it again, of course with no luck, but he did babble all night long.
